Situated in Harrogate's Royal Parade Quantro restaurant is the name to watch out for in the dining scene.Recommended by a whole host of people in the know such as the Good Food Guide, Michelin, the AA and by no means least, an ever-growing band of Hi-Life members, this award winning restaurant provides diners with some of the best cuisine in the area.For the past five years Neil Ballinger the Head Chef has created an inspiring menu by using high quality and mainly local fresh products to raise standards whilst still retaining sensible prices.Starters on offer recently included king scallops served with chilli mango purée, caramelised baby apples and a prawn liaison (you'll hae to order it to find out!), whilst the choice of mains really does feature something to tempt every tastebud. Avid Hi-Life readers will not be in the least bit surprised to learn that my own personal choice would have to be sea bass with warm fennel and potato salad and a sauce vierge - but then again, perhaps I would go for jasmine smoked duck, pak choi and shiitake mushroom risotto with a soya dressing.If, like me, you're finding it just too difficult to make a decision, then all I can suggest is that you visit more than once, something you'll no doubt be rushing to do after trying out Quantro for yourselves.

" This is a wonderful Bisro Resturant.Have been 3 or 4 times now when we visit Harrogate.We found the Service & Food one of the best we have tried with Hi life.Very good friendly service, never any problems what so ever with the bill, which we often find happens with Hi life.Will definately be going again on our next trip to Harrogate.Highly recommended. " We had a midweek lunch here. The meal was very enjoyable (if also slightly expensive for lunch!) It´s worth stating that they are very busy with their lunchtime specials offers that aren´t covered by the Hi-Life card so you have to eat from the ALC menu (although it´s not a problem). They didn´t mark our card so we´re likely to return. "
